Upon the addition of heat to an unknown amount of KClO3, 0.96 grams of oxygen were liberated.  How much KClO3 was present?  (Hint:  The decomposition of KClO3 makes oxygen gas and potassium chloride.)                 (Answer:  2.5 grams)

2. Determine the maximum amount of carbon dioxide that can be produced from the combustion of 104 grams of acetylene (C2H2) with 84.3 grams of oxygen.        (Answer:    92.8 grams)

3.  Silver bromide, AgBr, used in photography, may be prepared from AgNO3 and NaBr.  Calculate the weight of each reactant needed to make 2,500 grams of AgBr.
(Answers:    AgNO3 = 2261 g rounded to 2300 g         & NaBr = 1370 g rounded to 1400 g)
             __ AgNO3  +  __ NaBr
à  __ AgBr  +  __ NaNO3

4. What is the maximum weight of SO3 that could be made from 25.0 grams of SO2 and 6.00 grams of O2 by the following reaction?     (Answer:    30.0 grams)
